COVID-19 and Essential Critical Workforce

An Update from LGS Technologies regarding COVID-19 and Essential Critical Workforce

Like every company, LGS Technologies is working through new challenges regarding COVID-19.  We wanted to provide a communication regarding LGS Technologies’ status as an “Essential Critical Infrastructure Operation” as set forth by The Department of Homeland Security.

First and foremost, our top priority remains the health and welfare of our employees, their families, our customers and our suppliers.  LGS continues to prepare and take guidance from the CDC as well as all Federal, State, a local government agencies.

LGS Technologies has implemented several changes in response to the threat of COVID-19

  • LGS continually encourages the importance of washing hands with all employees.
  • Our team has intensified cleaning of our facility and sanitizing work areas.
  • We have limited access to our building to all essential visitors necessary for continued operation.
  • A ban on all non-essential work-related travel is in effect for all employees.
  • All employees are aware and striving to keep mandated “Social Distancing” of 6 feet.
  • We have shifted our work and production schedules to limit the number of people on lunch and break.
  • LGS has closed our employee gym to all users.
  •  All employees have been instructed to stay home if they do not feel well or if a family member does not feel well and to seek medical care for symptoms related to COVID-19 and to self-quarantine for 14 days.
  • Any employee that has been directly exposed to persons diagnosed with COVID-19 has been instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days.

LGS has been advised by several customers outlined in the 16 critical infrastructure sectors like medical, defense, telecom, and energy sectors that we are an essential supplier to their operation. Thus, LGS Technologies will maintain operations consistent with the guidelines of the Department of Homeland Security.  Currently we plan to maintain a normal work schedule and are working with our essential supply base to ensure continuity of business.

We will continue to advise our customers and suppliers of changes as we strive to meet the needs of all parties during this unprecedented time.

Wishes of safety and health for all,
Terry Buckley
